Time To Detox

Alright guys, the holidays have come and gone and everyone is getting back into the routine of things. But we have stuffed ourselves full and it’s still cold outside, so things may be a little sluggish to say the least. Sluggish both in body and in thought, though we do have all the intentions of getting ourselves all the way together this year. And what better way to get ourselves up and going than to detox?!

Inspirational Quotes On A Planner

Yes, I think February should be the month of detoxing, so that when winter finally breaks, and March 20 gets here, we can be prepared for Spring Cleansing! And yes, there is a difference between detoxing and cleansing (more on that later), but I will say this, if the body is like a closet, it’s better to throw away all the junk first, so that you can organize everything properly. So yes, this will be the month of detoxing and letting go - for both the body and the mind, because we are what we eat. And foods that rid the body of heavy metals, toxins, and unnecessary chemicals. Which is great because that will help eliminate brain fog, feelings of anxiety (anybody anxious about all the changes in store for 2019, or is it just me?), and bodily fatigue.

So this month I will be posting ideas every weekend that support a gentle 3 day detox. But don’t worry, the food will be more sustaining, and look more appealing, than twigs and berries. Think spa water, smoothies, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and maybe even a dessert! Wait, did I just say dessert? Is that even a thing? Detoxifying desserts? Yes, actually; because it’s really all in the ingredients. So every weekend will have recipe ideas whose foods are great for the healthy function of your kidneys, liver, lungs, and skin, since those are our main detoxifying organs. So let’s get to it shall we?
